XGrant is an agency, that concentrates on the following areas:
Realizing work- and training placements abroad for Dutch students.
In Dutch vocational education at least 20% of the assignments of the course has to be done in practice. This means that every student has to do a compulsory part of the course in a company. More and more students and colleges prefer a training period abroad. On request of students or colleges we try to find a work- or training placement in a foreign organization. This placement has to relate to the course the student is studying. During the placement the student has to do practical assignments, that are related to the final terms of the course.
Organizing employment projects for long term unemployed people.
Most of the unemployed nowadays are people that need help to get into employment. A lot of personal problems keep them back from getting a job. In our employment projects we offer participants an environment in which they learn to achieve a normal daily routine, to work with colleagues and under a supervisor, to get used to physical exertion etc.
Because their daily situation is often a reason for their unemployment we take these people for an employment project abroad. The participants work on sites, where they restore old buildings. This work is not the final work area in which they will be active after the project. Building and restoring is just a way and not a goal to bring people back to work. After returning to the Netherlands we offer the participants a training period in a Dutch company. When both the parties are satisfied after this short training period, the participants will be offered a job. Any area of work can be possible, as long as it meets the capacities and the interests of the participants.
